Overview of Podiatry treatments
General Podiatry/Chiropody treatment (30 mins)
Assessment and treatment of any problematic areas, including nail and skin issues.
- In-growing toe nails
- Verrucas
- Corns & callouses
- Fungal nail
Biomechanical Assessment (45 mins)
Full assessment of the lower leg joints, both weight-bearing and non weight-bearing, focusing on the mechanical issues causing pain and discomfort during gait. Should the issue present when walking, then the plantar pressure scanner can be used (see below).
Plantar Pressure Gait Scan (45 mins)
This is a dynamic, weight-bearing scan of the feet during gait. It tracks the way the pressure transfers through the pathological foot, and allows us to isolate individual areas and correct them with orthotics and specific exercises.
Medical Pedicure (45 mins)
A full overhaul of the feet, including nail cut & file, callous/corn removal, skin filed, and nails treated/buffed. Oil and lotion are applied to replenish the foot and ensure a longer lasting result. Jack provides possibly the best Medi-Pedi treatments in the City!
Casting (30 mins)
Plaster of Paris casting of the foot to ensure a gold-standard copy of the patients foot. Often used in conjunction with the Plantar Pressure Scanner.
Podiatry Check-up (15 mins)
Short appointments used for Verruca and simple-issue treatments where regular treatment is more effective and full-length appointments are not necessary.
Nail Care treatment
As well as an extensive range of podiatry treatments, Jack also offers solutions for a variety of nail care issues, such as Fungal Nail infection and Athletes Foot.
