Why Your Financial Wellbeing is Critical
As the cost of living continues to rise in the UK, achieving a sound financial education has never been of greater importance. Financial concerns affect most people at various times in their lives, but the impact on long-term health and wellbeing is rarely considered. With 16 million UK adults reporting low financial wellbeing, and 36% saying they worry when they think about money, taking positive steps to achieve personal financial wellbeing is of the utmost importance.
At the Lloyd’s Wellbeing Centre, we understand both the importance of managing your finances, and the struggle of finding a reliable and easy-to-follow source of financial advice.
That is why we are offering a live Financial Wellbeing Webinar on Friday 19 August 2022, in partnership with Thrive4Life.
Your speaker, George Callaghan, is a Professor of Economics and Personal Finance. He will be offering advice and suggesting top tips to help you better manage your finances and personal money concerns.

Prolonged worrying about your financial situation can result in mental and physical health problems. This is because stress, mental health, and physical health form a ‘triad of health and wellbeing’. Just as having a physical illness can make us feel stressed or deteriorate our mental wellbeing, a lack of financial wellbeing can impact our stress levels and mental health.
Studies have shown that money is a key factor in determining our level of ‘happiness’. It has been found that there is a high degree of correlation between an individual’s financial wellbeing and their life satisfaction.
