Speaker bio: Rupert Wharton is a renowned consultant orthopaedic surgeon at King Edward VII’s, New Victoria, and Kingston Hospitals. With European and British Hand Surgery Diplomas, he has decades of experience treating hand and wrist pain. Specialising in nerve compression such as carpal tunnel, tendon overuse, and sports injuries (fractures, cyclist’s numb hands, skier’s thumb, boxer’s knuckle), he is part of the esteemed Grosvenor Orthopaedics group in Marylebone. Outside of work, he enjoys the gym, cycling, skiing, hockey, and tennis, and is a dedicated husband and father of three.
