Mr Simon Hislop is a consultant orthopaedic hip and knee surgeon at Chelsea and Westminster NHS Foundation Trust, the Lister Hospital, Chelsea, and King Edward VII Hospital in Marylebone.

Specialising in hip and knee replacement surgeries, arthroscopic knee procedures, and lower limb trauma, he is widely recognised for his meticulous approach and unwavering commitment to patient care. With a high-volume practice, Simon has extensive experience in managing complex primary and revision surgeries, as well as unicompartmental knee replacements.

Simon completed his medical training at Imperial College London and went on to complete an MSc in Musculoskeletal Science at Oxford University. He is double fellowship trained, having spent time at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Oxford focusing on hip and knee arthroplasty, followed by a fellowship in pelvic and acetabular surgery at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto.

Beyond his clinical work, Simon is deeply involved in medical education. He tutors medical students at Imperial College London and serves as the Training Programme Director for the surgical SHO training programme at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. His research interests, particularly in periprosthetic infection and hip surgery, have led to numerous publications in the field.
